Job summary

ABB is seeking a Site Manager to lead onsite startup, testing, and commissioning of medium and low-voltage power delivery systems for data centers in the United States. You will coordinate with the Project Manager, subcontractors, and customers to ensure safety, quality, and schedule targets are met.

The role requires 10+ years in electrical field service, travel up to 75% in North America, and strong leadership of on-site teams.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in electrical equipment field service, startup, testing, or commissioning, preferably with OEM-manufactured LV/MV/HV equipment.
Experience supporting data center construction or mission-critical electrical infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of commissioning processes, electrical protection systems, and power distribution equipment.
High school diploma required; advanced electrical or mechanical training preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead onsite activities related to equipment startup, testing, installation, and commissioning in accordance with project scope, quality standards, schedule targets, and safety requirements.
Coordinate daily activities with the Project Manager to validate resource readiness, material availability, and milestone alignment.
Serve as the primary onsite representative for the client and all site stakeholders.
Plan onsite activities, labor, equipment needs, commissioning sequences, and daily/weekly coordination routines.
Maintain site safety plans and ensure training/compliance for ABB and subcontractors.
