Job summary

Gorton’s is seeking a Senior Data & Business Systems Specialist to own data, reporting, integration, and business applications that drive decision-making and performance. You’ll partner with cross-functional teams, vendors, and tech partners to gather requirements, troubleshoot, and implement solutions across the solution lifecycle.

You will lead data integration, SQL-based apps, EDI processes, BI analytics, and AI initiatives, while providing end-user support and training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong SQL development and database skills.
• Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate).
• Experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and/or Azure SQL Database.
• Experience with EDI processes and technologies.
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure and/or Microsoft Fabric.
• Familiarity with AI, and machine learning concepts.
• Experience working with external vendors and technology partners.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address business process and technology challenges
• Support, maintain, and enhance core business applications
• Develop and support data integration solutions, SQL-based applications, and EDI processes
• Support business intelligence, analytics, reporting, and AI initiatives across the organization
• Partner with vendors, consultants, and technology providers to support business objectives
• Provide end-user support, troubleshooting, and training
• Research emerging technologies and identify opportunities for innovation
• Assist with system implementations, upgrades, and application releases
