Job summary
The Greenbrier Companies, Inc. in Lake Oswego, Oregon seeks a Senior Data & Process Automation Analyst to modernize legacy Excel and Access workflows through Microsoft Power Platform.
The role focuses on data accuracy, governance, and automating critical processes within the Business Services team. You will lead automation initiatives, design scalable solutions with Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI, and mentor colleagues while improving operational efficiency and data quality across
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent
- At least five years of experience in data analysis, automation, or process improvement using a modern technology stack
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI
- Advanced Microsoft Excel
- Exposure to Access/VBA-based processes and interest in modernizing them
- Experience working with SSMS
- Uses Power Platform tools including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI
- Uses advanced Microsoft Excel functionality
- Works with Access- and VBA-based processes and supports their modernization
- Works with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS)
- Demonstrates analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Understands and supports operational business processes
- Manages time effectively and prioritizes multiple deliverables
- Communicates clearly and professionally with business stakeholders
Responsibilities
- Lead data, automation, and process improvement initiatives aligning with Business Services objectives
- Analyze complex business, process, and data challenges and implement sustainable solutions
- Design, develop, and optimize business solutions including workflow automation and reporting tools
- Modernize legacy systems, databases, spreadsheets, and manual processes with scalable tech
- Architect and implement Power Platform solutions using Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI
- Evaluate requirements, risks, costs, and impacts to recommend effective solutions
- Lead complex reporting, data governance, and analytical activities
- Identify systemic process, data, and technology issues and drive improvements
- Develop standards, methodologies, and governance to improve compliance and effectiveness
- Serve as SME and advisor on processes, data management, reporting, automation
- Partner with stakeholders to identify needs and deliver solutions
- Lead or coordinate multi-system projects
- Anticipate risks and develop mitigation strategies
- Mentor team members and promote best practices
- Drive innovation through analytics, automation, AI, and emerging tech
