Job summary

Nix is seeking a Lead Data Engineer & Architect to shape a regional, multi-country data platform built on Snowflake and Google Cloud Platform. You will own architecture, data ingestion, and semantic modeling, driving data quality and compliance across LATAM and other regions.

The role requires deep cloud data engineering experience, strong leadership, and the ability to collaborate with Product, Risk, Engineering, BI and regional leaders to deliver fast, reliable analytics and data products.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/SE/Data Eng or related field.
• Snowflake expertise: 3+ years production experience or 5+ years cloud DW with Snowflake familiar.
• GCP experience: Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Datastream (CDC) in production.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and end-to-end development of multi-country data platform.
• Build scalable ingestion pipelines from Datastream CDC into GCP and Snowflake.
• Design semantic layer with dbt and enforce secure, compliant data ops.
• Manage CI/CD and versioning via Snowflake DCM and GitHub.
• Define governance, RBAC, data masking, and regulatory compliance.
• Optimize costs and performance of Snowflake credits and warehouses.
• Align stakeholders across Product, Risk, Engineering, BI and leadership.
• Mentor engineers and promote quality software engineering practices.
