Prolaio is building a precision cardiology data platform in Chicago. We seek a Data Architect to shape the backbone of our healthcare data ecosystem, turning diverse clinical and operational data into interoperable, scalable platforms for research and product development.

You will lead architecture across storage, compute, and data pipelines, embedding governance, provenance, and AI enablement in a regulated environment to drive faster therapeutic discovery and better cardiovascular outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Biomedical Informatics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years in healthcare, life sciences, medtech, or patient-data-focused environments.
• Experience architecting healthcare data platforms for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.

Responsibilities

• Define target-state data architecture and roadmap for regulated healthcare data platform.
• Architect scalable, secure data platforms across clinical, operational, device, and patient data.
• Lead architecture decisions for storage, compute, APIs, and integration patterns.
• Establish standards and reference patterns for reliable, compliant operation.
• Design data models for clinical trials, real-world data, claims, medications, and more.
• Lead standardization and normalization of disparate data sources into governed datasets.
• Architect end-to-end data flows for ingestion, validation, transformation, and publishing.
