Prolaio is seeking a Sr. Director of Platform Engineering & Tooling to shape and scale a cloud-native platform that underpins clinical, quality, research, and AI-driven data ecosystems.

You will own core tooling, observability, access controls, data lifecycle management, and shared services across regulated healthcare environments. The role requires senior leadership, strong technical credibility in healthcare data platforms, and collaboration with Product, Engineering, Quality, and Clinical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field.
• 15+ years in healthcare/medtech or patient-focused environments with data platforms.
• 7+ years in Sr. Director/VP Engineering or Platform Engineering roles.
• Proven leadership in building, scaling, and coaching large engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Define the platform engineering strategy and roadmap for secure, scalable cloud and data capabilities.
• Lead observability, monitoring, logging, and cloud operations for GCP environments.
• Own platform access controls, data access, and environment provisioning.
• Drive data lifecycle management, ingestion, validation, publishing, retention, and audit readiness.
• Partner with Data Engineering to strengthen data architecture and pipelines.
• Deliver reusable platform features to accelerate analytics, data science, and data services.
• Ensure HIPAA-aligned controls and regulatory readiness by design.
• Lead AI-powered platform capabilities like intelligent monitoring and workflow automation.
• Collaborate with Security, Quality, Clinical Operations, Product, and Data teams on governance.
