Job summary

Vaco is seeking a Senior Data Engineer / Data Architect in Fort Lauderdale, FL, to lead the design and hands-on development of our enterprise data foundation. This role will connect ERP, CRM, ecommerce, marketing, and finance data to support trusted reporting, AI, automation, and internal applications.

The candidate must have genuine architecture experience and the ability to personally build production-grade data platforms, pipelines, models, integrations, quality controls, and data services

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building production-grade data platforms and pipelines.
• Experience designing enterprise data platforms and data governance.
• Ability to communicate with technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assess current data environment and data owners.
• Design scalable enterprise data architecture for reporting, AI, analytics and internal apps.
• Build production-grade data pipelines and lakehouse solutions in Databricks.
• Establish data governance, standards, schemas, and data contracts.
• Develop data quality checks, monitoring, and incident-response processes.
