Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Data Architect with Army Vantage expertise to lead end-to-end data architecture for a DoD program. You will drive ingestion, modeling, governance, and production delivery, while leading a geographically distributed team and delivering scalable pipelines.

The role requires hands-on implementation, enterprise data strategies, and strong collaboration with military leadership and data owners to translate mission needs into architecture.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance required.
• 7+ years in data architecture/engineering/analytics.
• Hands-on architect with production data/AI systems experience.
• Strong communication in fast-paced DoD environments.
• Experience with Databricks Lakehouse/Medallion architectures.
• Kimball dimensional modelling expertise.
• Data governance with metadata/catalog tools.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture and hands-on implementation for Army Vantage/Palantir Foundry.
• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models and semantic layers.
• Build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and governed data layers using Python, PySpark, Spark SQL.
• Develop Foundry Ontologies, including objects, links, actions, functions, and KPIs.
• Develop Workshop apps, JS/TS functions, widgets, and OSDK integrations.
• Maintain data cleansing pipelines delivering authoritative data across layers.
• Enforce validation, de-duplication, formatting, and business rules in Foundry artifacts.
• Lead engineers, review code, and ensure architectural alignment.
