Job summary

IPT Associates (IPTA) is seeking a data-focused engineer to support the Army Vantage analytics ecosystem remotely. You will develop and maintain data pipelines, standardize and transform ingested data, and enable AI-assisted workflows for mission data.

You will collaborate with senior engineers, government analysts, and data scientists, applying data modeling concepts and ensuring security and governance compliance. Strong Python, SQL, and Azure Data Factory experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in data engineering, data analysis, BI, or related roles.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory is required.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Foundational knowledge of SQL, data manipulation, modeling, and data quality concepts.
• Familiarity with Microsoft-based data environments (Microsoft 365, Dataverse, Power Platform, Power BI, SharePoint).
• Preferred experience with Palantir Foundry (Army Vantage); quick learner of Army Vantage tools, workflows, and data product development.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an Active Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support development and maintenance of data pipelines, datasets, and curated data products within the Army Vantage analytics ecosystem.
• Assist with preparing ingested data in Vantage for manipulation, including standardization, transformation, enrichment, validation, and basic quality checks.
• Help structure data to support visualization, analysis, reporting, and AI-assisted workflows within Army Vantage.
• Apply data modeling and data ontology concepts to organize mission data for discoverability and usability.
• Support connections between Army databases, FCC tools, A365-based sources, and higher command data sources.
• Use A365 and Microsoft tools (Dataverse, Power Platform, Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint, Power BI) to support data collection, automation, reporting, and transition into Vantage-ready structures.
• Develop and maintain SQL queries and scripts to support dashboards, metrics, data validation, and ad hoc analysis.
• Document data flows, definitions, transformation logic, and engineering processes for maintainability.
• Collaborate with senior engineers, government analysts, and data scientists to implement mission requirements with proper security and governance.
