Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a Senior Data Architect to design, implement, and govern enterprise-scale data solutions across identity management, ERP, digital libraries, and AI-powered knowledge systems.

You will lead data architecture, modeling, and governance efforts, ensuring semantic interoperability and cost-effective, scalable architectures across cloud and on-prem environments. A government clearance is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems or related field.
• 8–10+ years in data architecture or data engineering, with 5+ years in enterprise-scale solutions.
• Experience with cloud architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP), data modeling, governance, and API design.
• Hands-on with SQL/NoSQL (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and pipeline tools (Airflow/Prefect).
• Knowledge of data formats: JSON, XML, Parquet, RDF/OWL; AI/ML data requirements.
• Security, encryption, and compliance familiarity; ability to obtain government clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design enterprise data architecture frameworks integrating identity mgmt, ERP, digital libraries, and AI/ML apps.
• Develop data models, schemas, ontologies for interoperability and knowledge graphs.
• Architect data pipelines and semantic layers supporting Graph RAG and AI-driven knowledge management.
• Lead integration architecture for ETL/ELT, real-time synchronization, MDM, and data quality monitoring.
• Define governance policies for CUI, ITAR, export controls, and RBAC architectures.
• Design scalable solutions supporting 90,000+ documents across cloud/on-prem/hybrid.
• Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity, library services, and mission teams; communicate decisions.
