United Utility Services, LLC is hiring a hands-on Sr. Data Engineer in Spring, TX (onsite) to design, build, and operationalize a Microsoft-centric, 100% cloud enterprise data platform.

The role combines architecture ownership with direct implementation across ingestion, modeling, governance, and analytics enablement. This hands-on architect/engineer will unify disparate data sources, enable self-service reporting with Power BI, and drive AI-enabled analytics initiatives while ensuring

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data architecture, data engineering, or analytics architecture roles.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric.
• Hands-on experience with Azure SQL and Power BI.
• Hands-on experience with Power Platform / Dataverse.
• Strong Databricks, Python, and SQL skills.
• Experience with Snowflake, Synapse, and cloud-native data architectures.
• Experience integrating data across multi‑source SaaS/vendor platforms.
• Solid governance understanding and practical data quality practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement core components of the enterprise data architecture using Microsoft Fabric and Azure data services.
• Build and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines across multiple systems.
• Develop enterprise data models to support reporting and analytics use cases.
• Enable analytics and self-service reporting through Power BI, Power Platform, and Dataverse.
• Develop data governance practices including data ownership, quality, and lineage.
• Coordinate with IT security for access control and compliance.
• Mentor junior staff as data practices mature.
