Job summary

B&A is seeking a Senior Database Architect to support the Defense Health Agency CBIS program in the National Capital Region. You will own the design, implementation, and sustainment of the databases behind EIM’s workflows, hosting on AWS GovCloud, ensuring speed, availability, security, and reporting capability.

Responsibilities include ETL-driven migrations, metadata maintenance, and ongoing tuning. A BS in CS and 10+ years SQL Server experience are required; DoD-related training and a Public

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 10 years of database administration and architecture with SQL Server (12 years without BS).
• Experience performing large data migrations and ETL.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and sustain EIM application workflow databases for performance, reporting, availability, and security.
• Provide database administration, SQL programming, and schema design across SQL Server and Content Server.
• Lead data migrations including HAIMS, DMACS, and STR migrations from VA; ensure data integrity and timely reporting.
• Maintain metadata in line with MHS standards and map old values to new ones to preserve history.
