Job summary

MasTec's Clean Energy & Infrastructure division seeks a Senior Data Architect to design and manage data systems for on‑prem and cloud environments. You will lead data integration, architecture standards, and ETL development with Azure Data Factory, while guiding a small team and collaborating across IT and business groups.

The role emphasizes data governance, security, and scalable data solutions to support enterprise operations and decision‑making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or computer/management information systems with 7-10 years of related experience.
• Extensive experience maintaining and supporting production systems and infrastructure.
• Highly skilled at SQL administration and database design.
• Experience with SharePoint and Power Apps, especially Power BI.
• Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
• Experience with waterfall and agile models for system development.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent planning skills and ability to work independently.
• Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop data integration strategies and solutions for complex projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and develop data architecture.
• Work with stakeholders at different levels in the organization.
• Manage and automate data flow and organize data for efficient retrieval.
• Determine requirements for data design and ensure data integrity and security.
• Develop and maintain data warehouse and ETL processes with Azure Data Factory or similar tools.
• Oversee a team of 2-4 employees and manage staffing and reviews.
