Job summary

JPMorganChase seeks a Lead Data Architect to shape the data architecture for a portfolio of applications as they consolidate toward a strategic data lake and cloud-based technologies. You will define data standards, guide architecture decisions, and collaborate with multiple teams across a multinational environment.

You will mentor junior staff, drive data processing patterns, and ensure governance and data quality across OLTP/OLAP domains while aligning with regulatory and security

Qualifications

• 10+ years of data architecture experience across OLTP and OLAP patterns
• Strong knowledge of data architecture best practices and trends
• Experience with cloud databases such as Postgres, CockroachDB, Databricks, or Snowflake
• Ability to set architecture standards and write Architecture Decision Records
• Expertise in data processing, data quality, BI, unstructured data, and ML
• Familiarity with data governance, catalogs, vocabularies, and classification
• Cloud fundamentals with AWS preferred

Responsibilities

• Drive data architecture principles and framework for the portfolio
• Own and evolve database standards with application architects
• Design target state data architectures to consolidate data into a strategic data lake
• Define data processing patterns for data exchange (streaming, API, batch)
• Serve as subject matter expert for data architecture across 100+ applications
• Mentor junior architects and technologists in data practices and storage
• Champion diversity, inclusion, and respect across the team
