Job summary

AmeriSOURCE Consulting, Inc. seeks a Lead Data Architect to define and drive the data architecture and modernization strategy for the EDGAR program. You will design highly available, scalable data platforms on AWS using PostgreSQL and open-source technologies, guiding migrations and governance.

The ideal candidate has extensive enterprise data architecture experience, hands-on PostgreSQL and cloud-native skills, and can lead cross-functional teams including security and DevSecOps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in database engineering or data architecture.
• 5+ years in senior/lead data architecture roles.
• Deep PostgreSQL and open-source relational DB expertise.
• Strong AWS data services and cloud-native architecture experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the EDGAR data architecture and modernization roadmap.
• Lead data modeling, partitioning, indexing, and retention strategies.
• Architect cloud-native DB solutions using AWS and open-source tech.
• Drive database modernization and migrations with minimal disruption.
• Lead performance engineering, monitoring, and reliability efforts.
• Ensure security, encryption, auditing, and compliance across the data lifecycle.
• Provide technical leadership and architecture documentation.
