Job summary

Inadev Corporation seeks a Lead Data Architect to define and drive the data architecture for the SEC’s EDGAR program. You will lead modernization of scalable, secure data platforms on AWS using PostgreSQL and open‑source databases, collaborating with engineers, DevSecOps, and business stakeholders.

The role emphasizes enterprise data modeling, performance tuning, security, and governance to ensure highly available systems with strong data integrity. Hybrid work in Reston, VA is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in database engineering, data architecture, or related fields.
• 5+ years in a senior or lead data architecture role.
• Deep expertise with PostgreSQL and open-source relational DBs.
• Strong experience designing DB solutions in AWS (Aurora/RDS).
• Knowledge of data modeling, indexing, partitioning, and optimization.
• Experience with modernization and migrations of databases.
• Understanding of security, backup, recovery, and auditing.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the EDGAR enterprise data architecture and modernization roadmap.
• Lead data modeling across EDGAR applications and services.
• Define DB design, partitioning, indexing, replication, and retention strategies.
• Architect cloud-native DB solutions using AWS and PostgreSQL/open-source tech.
• Support infrastructure automation and repeatable deployment of DB environments.
• Establish data quality, security, and governance standards.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to DB engineers and developers.
