Job summary

QBA Worldwide seeks a highly experienced Lead Data Architect to define and lead the data architecture and modernization strategy for the SEC’s EDGAR program. You will design scalable, secure data platforms in AWS and open-source databases, while guiding modernization from legacy systems.

The ideal candidate has extensive enterprise data architecture experience and hands-on expertise in PostgreSQL, AWS services, data modeling, and cloud-native patterns.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in database engineering or data architecture.
• 5+ years in senior/lead data architecture roles for complex enterprise systems.
• Deep expertise in PostgreSQL and open-source relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain the EDGAR enterprise data architecture and modernization roadmap.
• Establish standards for relational, transactional, analytical, and distributed data workloads.
• Lead data modeling across EDGAR applications and services.
• Define database design, partitioning, indexing, replication, availability, backup, and retention strategies.
• Conduct architecture reviews and provide direction to engineering teams.
