Job summary

Avery Dennison is hiring a Sr. Data Architect - AI & Analytics Platforms. This remote role (onsite 2x/week if near Vestcom) focuses on building scalable, cloud-native analytics platforms and AI enablement layers to empower clients and internal teams with self-service insights and predictive models.

You will collaborate with data engineers to translate business rules into modular code, automate decision engines, and optimize data warehouses for performance and scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Science, or related quantitative field.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in data engineering, platform development, or analytics architecture (3+ years senior level).
• Strong background in CPG/Retail analytics, POS data, and campaign measurement methods (Test vs. Control).
• Experience with Databricks or Snowflake environments and SQL, Python, data modeling, ETL/ELT, and API integration.
• Familiar with ML/modeled analytics and production coding alongside data engineers.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable, cloud-native analytics platforms enabling self-service insights.
• Bridge between business strategy and engineering, translating rules into modular SQL/Python code.
• Design and automate measurement engines for campaign performance on large retail datasets.
• Integrate multi-retailer POS data, syndicated datasets, and internal metrics into a unified data warehouse.
• Productize analytics models and optimize cloud data warehousing and analytics stack.
