Job summary

Google is seeking a Senior Data Application Engineer in the Spaces Engineering team to lead the design and implementation of data foundations for the Real Estate and Workplace Services IT portfolio. You will implement and maintain an AI-ready data landscape, ensuring data foundations support from portfolio planning to advanced analytics and AI initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS, MIS, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience programming with Python or Java and experience with SQL queries and database development.
8 years of experience designing and implementing modern data architectures for enterprise-level data.

Responsibilities

Lead data foundations implementation and AI-ready data landscape for Real Estate and Workplace Services.
Design automated data pipelines to extract data from internal and external sources while ensuring high quality and integrity.
Set up modern cloud data lakehouses to support real-time streams, AI-ready datasets, and data-mmesh architectures.
Ensure adoption of data governance standards by implementing data contracts and automated quality checks.
Design, build, and audit optimized SQL-based workflows and analytical queries in cloud data warehouses.
