Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Sr. Manager, Data Analyst - Compliance Risk to lead analytics initiatives across the Compliance Testing program.

You will partner with senior leaders, Technology, Product, Legal, and Risk Management to identify and mitigate compliance risks using advanced data analysis and statistical methods. You will drive tooling strategy, plan and execute analytics projects, mentor junior staff, and communicate results to non-technical stakeholders while embodying Capital One's focus

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in quantitative field with 5+ years of data analytics work (or Master’s with 5+ years).
• At least 5 years of professional data analysis experience.
• At least 5 years leading and developing with open source data technologies.
• At least 2 years of experience managing people.

Responsibilities

• Drive current and future Compliance Testing tooling and analytical strategy.
• Plan and execute Compliance Testing analytical projects.
• Act as liaison between Engineers, Data Scientists, Analysts and non-technical stakeholders (Legal, Compliance, Executive Board).
• Understand technical issues in analytical tools and assess risks and opportunities.
• Research, identify, and prototype industry best practices for emerging analytical tools.
• Communicate results clearly via reports and presentations.
• Leverage education and training to develop solutions to business problems.
• Coach and mentor junior staff.
