Job summary

Matic is seeking a Data Analytics Lead in Columbus, OH to bridge data execution and strategy. You will own complex data projects, deliver analytical insights, and guide a data-driven culture across product, engineering, marketing, and finance teams.

You will mentor analysts, design scalable reporting, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable insights. This role requires leadership and advanced analytics in a fast-growing insurtech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant technical field.
• 5-8 years of progressive work experience in a data analytics or business intelligence role.
• Subject matter expertise with SQL query optimization, DBT, Snowflake, and ELT design.
• Extensive experience with Tableau, Metabase, or other advanced visualization platforms.
• Solid ability to communicate complex data concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven track record of navigating ambiguity, prioritizing effectively, and meeting tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Create project strategies and manage them to completion, coordinating cross-functionally and reporting to leadership.
• Serve as the domain leader in data integration, transformation, and visualization; design experiments.
• Act as a data liaison between business leaders and data producers/consumers, translating questions into requirements.
• Mentor junior data analysts and contribute to process improvements.
• Identify business issues and implement swift, iterative solutions to maintain agility.
• Build scalable self-service reporting and champion a data-driven culture across the company.
