Job summary

General Motors is seeking an experienced Data Analyst to lead analytics efforts across the Scaled Engineering Operations (SEO) and support management of high priority technical services. You will develop metrics to prioritize initiatives, drive improvements, and measure impact across labeling, analysis, and protocol teams.

You will partner with Engineering to understand complex services and deliver insights that enable cross-team work and results.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of work experience in data analytics or related fields.
• Proficient in SQL and/or Python with experience building metrics and KPIs.
• Experience developing strategies for navigating a complex industry.
• Strong ability to craft and present executive-level communications on high-impact decisions.
• Track record of using analytical thinking to define and improve KPIs for program improvement.

Responsibilities

• Identify and launch new processes and tools to measure operational efficiency and data quality.
• Lead projects and processes to improve efficiency or quality.
• Scope and implement analyses, experiments, and pilots that inform product direction.
• Understand datasets and work with stakeholders to implement improvements.
• Track, measure, and communicate progress to leadership to show impact.
• Support ad-hoc analytics requests as needed.
