New York State Department of Health is seeking a senior data analytics leader to guide the unit's activities, establish goals, and provide technical mentorship across graph databases, Python, AI/ML, and cloud analytics. The role focuses on designing cloud-based graph data architectures and developing AI/ML models for FWA detection within Medicaid data ecosystems.

The position involves building ETL pipelines, securing scalable cloud infrastructure with Snowflake, and delivering analytics

Qualifications

• Nine years of experience in data visualization, statistics, and data mining tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct unit activities, establishing goals, priorities and procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship on graph databases, Python, AI/ML, and cloud analytics.
• Design and maintain cloud-based graph database architectures to integrate provider, claims, and encounter data.
• Develop and implement AI/ML models for FWA detection, including anomaly detection and risk scoring.
• Build and maintain Python-based ETL pipelines for graph databases and Snowflake.
• Architect scalable, secure cloud infrastructure for real-time and batch fraud detection processing.
• Collaborate with program integrity units to translate needs into technical specs.
• Maintain documentation for schemas, models, data pipelines and cloud architecture.
