Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Las Vegas, Nevada is seeking a Business Analyst III to lead complex forecasting, advanced analytics, and strategic data mining. You will partner with multiple functions to forecast drivers, improve operational effectiveness, and deliver data-driven insights to senior leadership.

Responsibilities include building predictive models with SQL/ETL/Oracle, using R/Python, and creating automated reports.

Qualifications

Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
Bachelor's degree with five years of experience in the job offered or related occupation as equivalent to the Master's degree.
Experience with database technologies including SQL, ETL or Oracle.
Experience processing large multi-dimensional datasets from sources such as Kibana, OBIEE, Datanet or equivalent.
Experience developing predictive models and forecasts using R or Python.
Experience developing automated reporting using advanced MS Excel skills including macros and Erlang.
Maintaining data integrity across databases including Redshift, Andes, or Huron.

Responsibilities

Lead the development of forecasting models and analytics initiatives and manage metrics reporting.
Partner with functional groups to forecast key drivers and improve operational effectiveness.
Design and implement sophisticated mathematical and statistical models with diverse variables and KPIs.
Drive scalable, automated planning processes for large-scale data analyses and model deployment.
Present findings to senior management with statistically grounded, explainable results.
