Job summary

AbbVie Inc. is seeking a Senior Data and Analytics Engineer to translate complex business and data requirements into scalable, secure analytics and data-engineering solutions for the Operations (Supply Chain) organization.

You will partner with DATA teams, BTS, stakeholders, and delivery teams to design and deliver modern data solutions enabling analytics, dashboards, AI use cases, and data products. The role combines hands-on engineering with strategic thinking, aligning with North Star

Qualifications

7+ years of hands-on experience designing and delivering enterprise modern data warehouse, Lakehouse, data engineering, and analytical solutions.
Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python, with strong hands-on experience in PySpark or Scala and distributed data processing on Spark/EMR or a comparable platform.
Experience building large Lakehouse and modern warehouse solutions using AWS Glue, Amazon EMR, Redshift, and Redshift Spectrum.
Proven experience with medallion architecture, data modeling, incremental processing, and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, deploy, and support production-grade data pipelines and data products for structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
Implement Lakehouse and modern data warehouse patterns with partitioning, clustering, and performance optimization.
Translate business domains into governed data products, define contracts, ownership, metadata, and SLAs for dashboards and APIs.
Ingest data from enterprise applications, databases, files, APIs, and event streams; build orchestration with Airflow or equivalent tools.
Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance with enterprise standards.
