Job summary

Ledgent Technology is seeking a Data Architect to guide the Enterprise Data & Analytics function. You will shape design standards, scalability, security, and deployment practices across Data Engineering, Data Science, and BI teams.

You will mentor staff, drive project discovery, and oversee code reviews, SCM, and SDLC in a cloud-first environment using SQL Server, SSIS/ADF, SSRS, and Power BI. This role supports remote work with periodic travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer/Software Development, Information Technology or related discipline required.
• 8–10 years of database engineering and design in OLAP/OLTP environments with SQL Server, SSIS/ADF, SSRS, and Power BI.
• Expert knowledge of SQL Server 2016+ and Azure migration/refactoring.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Familiarity with Python and PowerShell is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong technical direction for Enterprise Data & Analytics systems.
• Modernize Data & Analytics systems in the cloud using Azure tools.
• Mentor staff, coach, and train team members.
• Lead development and oversee project discovery, planning, and resource allocation.
• Lead code reviews and ensure SDLC best practices.
• Manage SCM and deployments via Azure DevOps and MS tools.
• Provide production support and resolve performance issues.
• Maintain thorough system and process documentation.
• Stay current with data engineering and BI trends.
