Job summary

Yami, a fast-growing e‑commerce company, seeks a Senior Data Analyst in California to analyze retail, platform, and user data to drive growth, UX improvements, and platform optimization. You will collaborate with business, product, and tech teams to validate hypotheses and implement data-driven initiatives.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a quantitative field, 5+ years of analytics experience, and strong MySQL/Tableau proficiency. Python skills and familiarity with AI tools are a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in a quantitative field; Statistics/Mathematics is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in data analytics.
• Experience with e-commerce or retail analytics preferred.
• Proficient in MySQL and Tableau; Python is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Proactively analyze retail, e-commerce platform, and user data to generate insights that drive growth and UX improvements. Collaborate with business, product, and tech teams using data-driven evidence.
• Transform business data needs into data products and address requirements through systems and platforms.
• Respond to data requests from various business units, analyze requirements, and develop reporting and system plans.
• Partner with data engineers to build the Data Platform aligned with business and user data needs.
• Promote data fundamentals and platform usage across teams.
