Job summary

Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Data Analyst V to perform high‑level data collection, analysis, and reporting for the DAP Foster Care Litigation division in Austin, TX. The role includes designing data flows, building back-end logic, and delivering concise technical reports to drive process improvements.

You will work with RSDA and HHSC staff to maintain data quality, develop dashboards in Tableau, and implement reporting standards while operating with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in data science, analytics, CS, or related field.
• Experience with data analysis, reporting, and data visualization is required.
• Proficiency in SQL, Oracle, Tableau, and scripting languages is expected.

Responsibilities

• Oversees databases, data collection systems, and data quality processes.
• Develops and automates data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Creates dashboards and reports using Tableau and BI tools.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts to ensure accurate data and reporting.
• Mentors team members and communicates findings clearly.
