Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services seeks a Data Analyst V to perform highly complex data collection, analysis, and reporting for the RSDA division within DAP. You will design reports, develop back-end data logic, and drive data quality improvements while collaborating with agency staff to ensure requirements are met.

The role emphasizes SQL-based data loading, Tableau visualization, and back-end scripting, with opportunities to influence reporting processes and data governance.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in data science, business analytics, computer science, or a related field.
• Experience in data analysis, compilation, and reporting work; education and experience may be substituted for one another, up to four years.
• Experience with data and applications related to foster care or child welfare reporting and visualization preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees development and implementation of databases and data collection systems to optimize efficiency and quality.
• Loads and queries data using SQL to support complex analyses.
• Develops data quality metrics and monitors data integrity across reports and dashboards.
• Communicates findings and recommendations to stakeholders and supports system design meetings for new initiatives.
• Mentors team members and guides data management best practices.
