Zynga Poker is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to drive decisions that impact millions of players worldwide. As part of our analytics team, you’ll shape the future of our game through data‑driven insights.

Here’s how you’ll shape the player experience: collaborate with product, design, and insights teams to build dashboards, ETL pipelines, and telemetry; analyze player behavior to drive experience improvements; and contribute to the Analytics Org’s AI initiative using LLMs to increase impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field; advanced degrees a plus.
• 4+ years in data science or analytics roles, preferably in Product Data Science or Gaming Analytics team
• Experience guiding product teams through complex decisions and analyses and dealing with ambiguous data
• Proficiency in Python and SQL
• Demonstrated experience in data mining, data visualization, statistical analysis, and machine learning
• Experience/ Demonstrated interest in improving analytics team’s processes and work efficiency using LLMs
• Familiarity with BI tools like Tableau and version control systems such as Git is advantageous
• Strong ability in both written and oral communication
• Highly self‑motivated with a keen interest in problem‑solving
• Willingness to take ownership of challenges
• Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Strong communication skills - you can explain complex data in simple, actionable terms
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts or experience in automating recurring analytics workflows is a plus

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Product team to enhance revenue, retention, and engagement metrics, including A/B testing, insights analysis, and dashboards.
• Analyze player behavior to understand motivations and translate findings into experience improvements with game design and consumer insights teams.
• Design and maintain ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources, ensuring source of truth for analyses and BI.
• Design game telemetry to capture meaningful player interaction data to improve the game experience.
• Maintain dashboards used by game leadership and designers to inform strategic decisions for Zynga Poker.
• Support the economy team in tuning features to optimize long-term game health.
• Lead design and continuous improvement of fraud and bad actor models.
• Engage with games to maintain first-hand understanding of player experience and pain points.
• Monitor and maintain integrity of tools and models to streamline workflows and personalize experiences with other data analysts and scientists.
• Contribute to Analytics Org’s AI initiative to boost analyst impact with LLMs.
• Continuously learn and promote analytics best practices across games and teams.
