Qualifications

• MA/MS in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field with 3-5 years of experience OR BA/BS with 5-7 years.
• Experience with data transformation and statistical software programming in R, Python, or Stata.
• Experience deploying interactive web apps and data visualizations with R-Shiny or Flask/DASH/Power BI/Streamlit.
• Experience with databases and SQL.
• Experience with inferential statistics, sampling, research design, statistics, and regression.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Desire to grow professionally and take on challenging work assignments.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel).
• Familiarity with energy sector and/or utility industry.
• Applied research design experience in a professional setting (e.g., consulting).

Responsibilities

• Lead research design, data collection, data analysis, modeling tool development, and reporting tasks for client engagements.
• Apply statistical and econometric methods, synthesize results, and identify conclusions and recommendations.
• Communicate methods, findings, data sources, and analytics clearly in reports, dashboards, and presentations.
• Support management of consulting tasks, collaborate with teams and clients, and manage budgets and timelines.
• Provide mentorship and technical support to junior staff.
• Build client relationships with proactive communication on project status and findings.
• Identify and develop business opportunities, assist in proposal development.
