Job summary

Nomura in the United States seeks a Data Analyst / Business Analyst to support the End of Day Consistency project (Mongoose). You will partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into specifications and user stories for the delivery team.

You will analyze data flows, reconcile discrepancies, and perform quality checks across systems to ensure accurate reporting and governance. UAT support and documentation will be part of your responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data/BI or similar analytical role.
• Strong SQL skills for large datasets.
• Experience with Python or R.
• Experience with data visualization tools Tableau/Power BI.
• Understanding of accounting concepts and GL reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to gather, document, and validate requirements for End of Day Consistency.
• Analyze data flows, reconcile discrepancies, and perform quality checks across source systems.
• Analyze structured and unstructured data from multiple systems to support reporting needs.
• Document data definitions, lineage, and governance methodologies.
• Present analysis and insights to senior stakeholders in a clear, concise manner.
• Support UAT and post-implementation activities with test scenarios and status reporting.
