Job summary

Nomura in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Business/Data Analyst to join the Technology department at Associate level. The role focuses on End of Day consistency, data analysis across source systems, and governance documentation.

You will partner with business and technology stakeholders, design test scenarios, and support UAT and post-implementation activities. Qualified candidates have 5+ years in data or business analysis, strong SQL and scripting language skills, experience with Tableau/Power

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a data analyst, business analyst, or similar analytical role.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.
• Working knowledge of a scripting/analytics language such as Python or R.
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent).
• Solid understanding of accounting concepts and GL reconciliations.
• Excellent attention to detail and data integrity.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to gather, document, and validate requirements for End of Day Consistency, translating functional needs into clear specifications and user stories for the delivery team.
• Analyze data flows, reconcile discrepancies, and perform quality checks across source systems to support consistency and accuracy objectives.
• Analyze structured and unstructured data from multiple internal and external systems to support business, risk, and operational reporting needs.
• Document data definitions, lineage, and methodologies to support governance, auditability, and knowledge transfer.
• Present analysis and insights to senior stakeholders in a clear, concise manner, adapting technical detail to the audience.
• Support UAT and post-implementation activities by designing test scenarios, tracking issues to resolution, and producing status reporting and documentation.
