Job summary

Yami in California seeks a data analytics professional to proactively analyze retail and e‑commerce data, generating insights to drive growth and improve user experience. You will transform data needs into productized solutions and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement data‑driven initiatives.

You will partner with data engineers to build a scalable Data Platform and promote data literacy across business units, with fluency in English and Mandarin beneficial in a global team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above; Statistics or Mathematics is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience; data analysis with product thinking and project management capabilities.
• Experience in e-commerce or retail industry preferred.
• Experience using AI tools in daily work is preferred.
• Fluency in English and Chinese Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Proactively analyze retail, e-commerce platform, and user data to generate insights that drive growth and engagement; collaborate with business, product, and tech teams using data-driven evidence.
• Transform business data needs into data products and address requirements through systems and platforms.
• Respond promptly to data requests from various business units; analyze requirements and develop reporting and system plans.
• Partner with data engineers to build the Data Platform grounded in business and user data needs.
• Understand data fundamentals and promote its application across business teams.
