Job Overview

The Bureau of Equitable Health Systems (BEHS) seeks to hire two experienced Senior Data Analysts. The role involves shaping the bureau's data strategy, creating analyses, and developing tools to support healthcare equity initiatives.

Responsibilities
  1. Lead the creation and implementation of a Healthcare Accountability data strategy, including database management, data analytics, research, monitoring, and reporting.
  2. Identify additional data sources and evaluate data quality and utility.
  3. Prepare visual and written materials for diverse audiences and collaborate with external researchers.
  4. Draft technical documentation and manage contracts with external vendors.
  5. Work closely with policy teams to translate data findings into policy goals and update strategies accordingly.
  6. Collaborate with other teams to understand healthcare data sets and research objectives.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in data science, statistics, health economics, public health, or related fields.
  • At least five years of experience in managing and analyzing large datasets using software like R, SAS, SQL, or Stata.
  • Experience in healthcare settings and understanding of the U.S. healthcare system.
