Job summary

Amsive LLC in New York, NY is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to help build the next generation of our analytics platform within Microsoft Fabric. This is not a traditional reporting role; you will design semantic models, develop scalable analytics solutions, and enable AI-powered data experiences.

You will work with Data Engineers, Solution Architects, BI professionals, and Marketing to transform enterprise data into trusted assets that power reporting and decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
• 3–5 years designing analytical solutions on modern cloud data platforms.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, or comparable platforms.
• Experience developing Power BI semantic models and DAX measures.
• Strong SQL skills; experience with PySpark and Spark SQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI semantic models for enterprise reporting and self-service analytics.
• Build scalable star schemas, measures, calculated columns, hierarchies, perspectives, and Row-Level Security.
• Optimize models for performance, usability, and governance; develop reusable metrics.
• Develop analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse; write SQL, Spark SQL, PySpark notebooks.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to improve data quality and reliability; troubleshoot pipelines.
• Design AI-enabled analytics experiences using Fabric Data Agents and Azure AI; generate structured outputs.
• Build dashboards to monitor Fabric capacity, performance, and pipeline health; establish monitoring standards.
