Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Senior Data Analyst to move clients from data collection to decision‑making and from manual analysis to AI‑augmented insight. You’ll work with marketing, product, UX, and engineering to design measurement strategies and surface strategic insights that drive optimization and transformation.

You will lead analytics governance, partner with data science and engineering, and help embed AI‑enabled analytics in client engagements while mentoring junior analysts.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in digital analytics, marketing analytics, or data analysis in an agency or consulting environment.
• Strong expertise with Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager and broader analytics platforms.
• End‑to‑end measurement across websites, mobile, CRM, email, and marketing tech.
• Experience with AI‑assisted analytics, automated reporting, or ML‑supported insights.
• Experience collaborating with web/app teams to configure analytics across environments.
• Hands‑on with raw data, SQL, data pipelines (Fivetran, Stitch, dbt) and cloud platforms (GCP, BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks).
• Designing conversion tracking, funnels, goals, and event‑based measurement models.
• Dashboards/reports with Looker Studio, Tableau, Power BI, or Datorama.
• CRO and experimentation with interpreting test results.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audits of client digital properties to ensure analytics, tagging, and data pipelines are correctly configured.
• Design and implement analytics measurement frameworks aligned to client business, marketing, and product strategies.
• Advise on event‑driven analytics, data layers, and tagging across web, mobile, CRM, and marketing platforms.
• Design and build dashboards, reports, and self‑service views using BI tools.
• Troubleshoot data integrity, tracking, and pipeline issues across platforms and vendors.
• Document implementations and lead enablement sessions to establish analytics best practices.
• Lead stakeholder conversations to understand business goals and translate them into measurement requirements.
• Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to inform strategic recommendations across UX, content, marketing, and product.
• Develop testable hypotheses related to acquisition, engagement, conversion, and retention.
• Recommend experimentation strategies tied to defined KPIs.
• Connect insights across data sources to tell a coherent, actionable story.
• Identify analytics workflows to leverage AI for automation and insights.
