Though we have an office based in Calgary, this is a remote position that is open to candidates across Canada.

Who we hope to find:

We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Analyst to join our growing team at PurposeMed. In this role, you will own key stakeholder relationships, acting as the go-to person for defining KPIs, conducting deep-dive analysis, supporting business intelligence needs, and driving data-informed decisions. You'll bring a full-stack analytics mindset, spanning from analytics engineering (data modeling and transformation) to advanced analysis, including applying data science techniques where applicable. In this role, you'll make an impact by:

• Collaborating with business leaders to define core business metrics and creating dashboards and tools to monitor the health of the business
• Being our visualization domain expert with BI platforms and other data visualization tools
• Reconciling data across a diverse set of tools, ensuring accuracy, driving data flow improvements, and maintaining data quality and integrity in partnership with the Data Engineering team
• Partnering directly with internal collaborators to understand data needs and performing in-depth analysis to understand the underlying causes of changes in business performance
• Delivering results and managing projects on time with respect to business priorities
• Utilizing statistical and analytical techniques to extract insights from large and complex data sets

We need someone who has:

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics, with a strong foundation in analytics engineering, BI, and statistical analysis
• Strong SQL skills and experience with modern data transformation tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow)
• Experience with BI or data visualization tools like Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
• The ability to partner with stakeholders, translate business needs into data solutions, and communicate insights effectively
• Comfort with ambiguity—someone who is able to break down open-ended questions into structured analysis
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze large and complex data sets
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

It would also be great if you have:

• Proficiency in Python or R for advanced analytics and modelling
• Experience at a startup or in healthcare

Compensation:

• $106,000 - $128,000 CAD
