Location: Remote (U.S.-based, East Coast preferred)

Hours: 15–20 hours/week

Overview:

We’re looking for a Senior AI/ML Consultant to join an innovative biopharma client on a part-time basis to support advanced data-driven initiatives in drug discovery, clinical development,and precision medicine. You’ll lead the development of AI/ML models that drive scientific insights, optimize trials, and accelerate therapeutic innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with R&D, bioinformatics, and clinical teams to define AI/ML strategies for therapeutic pipelines.
• Design and implement predictive models using omics data, real-world evidence, and clinical trial datasets.
• Apply NLP and LLMs to extract insights from scientific literature, EHRs, and research reports.
• Drive feature engineering, model selection, and validation for biomarker discovery or patient stratification.
• Translate results into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for executive stakeholders.
• Ensure solutions are developed in accordance with applicable regulatory and data privacy standards (e.g., HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11).

Requirements:

• 7+ years in AI/ML roles, with 2+ years in pharma, biotech, or clinical research.
• Deep experience with omics data, clinical endpoints, or healthcare NLP.
• Proficient in Python, scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch, and data visualization tools.
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across interdisciplinary scientific teams.
• U.S.-based, with availability for East Coast hours.

Nice to Have:

• PhD or Master’s in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related life sciences field.
• Familiarity with LLMs and real-world data analysis.
• Experience in regulatory-compliant environments (e.g., GCP, HIPAA, 21 CFR Part 11).
