News Corp within Realtor.com/Avail is seeking a Senior Data Analyst based in Scottsdale, AZ (onsite). You will transform analytics needs from business stakeholders into KPI measurements, automated reporting, and actionable insights.

You will own end-to-end analytics, build KPI dashboards with Tableau and Mixpanel, and drive data-backed decisions across teams. Strong SQL, cloud data experience, and excellent communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or Data/Business Analytics and 6+ years in data roles.
• SQL proficiency with 6+ years of experience.
• Proficiency with Excel and/or Google Sheets for quick reporting.
• Experience with complex data sets and EDA/diagnostic/predictive analyses.
• Experience with cloud environments (Snowflake, AWS).
• BI reporting experience with Tableau and Mixpanel.
• Ability to drive revenue and KPIs through data.
• Strong written and verbal communication for diverse audiences.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and urgent data requests.

• Promote self-service analytics for faster decision-making.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis using internal/external data.
• Support leadership with analytical backing for forecasting and opportunity sizing.

Senior Data Analyst role at News Corp within Realtor.com/Avail, based in Scottsdale, AZ (onsite), partnering with business stakeholders to turn analytics needs into KPI measurement, automated reporting, and actionable insights.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Avail business stakeholders to clarify needs, requirements, and translate them into analytical problems.
• When required data is not available, identify appropriate data sources and build analytical data layers with the data engineering partner.
• Own end-to-end analytical delivery, including data collection, ETL, analysis, and the communication of insights and recommendations.
• Act as Avail’s Business Intelligence expert by owning KPI development, measurement, tracking, and reporting.
• Monitor KPIs continuously and run deep-dive analysis to explain changes, identify trends, and uncover opportunities.
• Manage regular business performance reporting and contribute analytics content to business reviews and other reporting.
• Build automated reports and dashboards using tools such as Tableau and Mixpanel (and related BI tools).
• Develop and increase adoption of self-service analytics so stakeholders can access data and insights for faster decision-making.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis using internal and external data sources.
• Support Avail leadership strategic initiatives and planning, including analytical backing for financial modeling, forecasting, and opportunity sizing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field or Data/Business Analytics.
• 6+ years of relevant experience as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role.
• SQL proficiency with 6+ years of experience.
• Proficiency with Excel and/or Google Sheets for quick reporting and ad hoc analysis.
• Strong capability working with complex data sets and performing EDA, descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive analyses.
• Experience with cloud-based data environments, including Snowflake and AWS.
• Significant experience creating BI reporting with Tableau and Mixpanel (and similar tools).
• Proven ability to use data and analytics to drive revenue and other business KPIs in a proactive manner, actively identifying opportunities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to technical and business audiences at different levels.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional partners.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, respond to urgent data requests, and adapt to changing business needs.
