Position: Data Analyst Sr

Location: Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Birmingham, AL, Dallas, TX, and Phoenix, AZ – Hybrid (3 days a week in office)

Duration: 8 months Contract to Hire

Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week

Job Description

Industry background: Preferred experience in Banking/Finance, previous client experience is a plus.

Team dynamic: Mix of offshore and onshore team members.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Data changes and analysis
• UAT (User Acceptance Testing)
• Performing in-depth data analysis, writing requirements, coding solutions, and collaborating with partners to deploy prototypes into production.

Support data domains within the Retail Business, partnering with technology teams to gather requirements, develop solutions, and implement business rules. The role requires technical and non-technical skills, working within agile projects, and maintaining documentation and issue resolution.

Technical Skills

• Business acumen combined with technical expertise
• Experience with Hadoop, Teradata, Oracle, SQL, Spark, and Python
• Knowledge of relational databases, big data, unstructured data, data warehouse, and ETL concepts
• Familiarity with automation tools like Oozie, Slurm, Iceberg
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Elastic Stack, Power BI
• Ability to create process flows and develop business analytics
• Experience in documentation of technical and procedural processes

Flexible Skills

Understanding of Agile frameworks, Jira, Confluence, Git repositories, and retail lending concepts.

Soft Skills

Strong communication skills for technical discussions and conveying concepts to business stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree required.
