Job Requirements:

  • At least one year of SQL or similar database programming experience
  • At least one year of experience with pharmacy or medical claims

Purpose: The Senior Analyst will build and maintain pharmacy reporting for key Amwins Rx pharmacy benefit management (PBM) initiatives. Examples include pharmacy claims pricing validation, rebate reporting, regulatory support, and analytics process improvement. They will collaborate with team members and partner with key stakeholders to ensure accurate and maintained end-to-end processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Reporting & Analytics (60%)
    • Build reports and analytics under team leadership guidance.
    • Prepare data files and support team data sources.
    • Collaborate with IT and business departments to capture requirements.
    • Support ad-hoc and recurring work as needed.
  2. BI & Reporting Development (30%)
    • Design, build, and maintain BI reporting with team leadership collaboration.
    • Ensure BI environment is maintained and accurate.
  3. Personal Development (10%)
    • Enhance technical skills related to reporting tools and coding languages.
    • Maintain knowledge of department practices and data structures.
    • Partner with leadership to develop industry knowledge.

Knowledge, Experience, and Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • 5+ years in pharmacy benefit management, health insurance, or related industry.
  • Experience with pharmacy or healthcare claims data.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
  • Intermediate to expert in SQL, SAS, R, Python, or similar languages.
  • Intermediate to expert in Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik (preferred).
  • Knowledge of health insurance and PBM industry pricing practices (preferred).
  • Knowledge of clinical drug information or manufacturer rebates (preferred).
