Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior analytics professional in Hoboken, NJ, to lead survey-based research engagements and deliver client-ready insights. You will guide data-driven decisions by applying segmentation, MaxDiff, and Conjoint analyses, while ensuring data quality and rigorous methodology.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to productize analytics outputs and establish standards across multiple business units. Strong storytelling and visualization skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Requires 5–6 years of experience in primary survey-based market research or client-facing analytics.
• Experience with quantitative analysis and primary survey research in a consulting/vendor environment.
• Hands-on experience with advanced survey analytics (segmentation, MaxDiff, Conjoint) and statistical testing.
• Ability to produce client-ready narratives and visualizations; strong storytelling and presentation skills.

• Design and advise on primary survey research, including sampling and questionnaire input
• Apply advanced methods such as segmentation, MaxDiff, and Conjoint
• Own end-to-end delivery from proposal support and analysis through insights and client-ready outputs
• Set and maintain data quality and analytical standards
• Perform validation and QA aligned with ISO/global processing standards
• Act as a trusted analytics consultant and methods expert
• Communicate complex findings clearly to influence decisions
• Partner with product, technology, design, and research teams on analytics productization
• Bring the client perspective into analytics solutions
• Support multiple business units in a client-facing analytics function

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent qualifying options stated in the minimum qualifications
• 5–6 years of experience in primary survey-based market research, consulting, or a comparable client-facing environment
• Minimum qualification alternative: bachelor's degree plus 2 years' experience in a related field, master's degree, or 4 years' related experience
• Experience in quantitative analysis and primary survey research in a client-facing setting
• Hands-on experience with advanced survey analytics, including statistical testing, regression, segmentation, pricing research, MaxDiff, and Conjoint
• Experience delivering in a client-facing, revenue-generating analytics/research environment
• Proficiency in R, Python, SAS, or similar
• Ability to produce client-ready narratives and visualizations
• Ability to make sound decisions with incomplete or evolving inputs
• Ability to design practical, flexible approaches for complex or nonstandard questions
• Strong storytelling and presentation skills
• Nice-to-have: experience improving or formalizing analytical or research processes and standards
• Nice-to-have: experience supporting analytics productization or reusable research solutions
• Preferred qualifications include related industry experience and tools such as SQL, Python, Spark, Scala, R, Power BI, or Tableau
