Responsibilities

  • Apply technical skills in survey design, sampling, fieldwork oversight, dataset processing, and data analysis to develop, report, and disseminate public opinion research.
  • Plan complex research schedules covering up to 35 countries and multiple sites and teams.
  • Design questionnaires and contribute to complex, stratified sample designs.
  • Develop fieldwork, project schedule, quality control, data management, and dataset processing plans.
  • Train interview teams in survey implementation and fieldwork hardware/software.
  • Identify third parties for data collection and assist with contract development.
  • Program questionnaires and samples into specialized survey data-collection software and supervise research assistants auditing programs.
  • Oversee research projects, schedules, quality, problem-solving, and research assistants.
  • Use specialized software to oversee fieldwork and data auditing.
  • Create tools to audit data, questionnaire programming, dataset processing, and statistical analyses.
  • Track research processes and deliverables.
  • Automate fieldwork report production.
  • Process and weight datasets.
  • Analyze and interpret survey data, create visualizations, and draft/review reports for varied audiences.
  • Develop technical reports documenting research design and project metadata.
  • Coordinate research dissemination through presentations and occasionally deliver oral presentations.
  • Communicate with country experts, affiliates, contracted firms, sponsoring agencies, and collaborators across countries.
  • Develop and conduct workshops or training sessions on survey research.
  • Research and develop methods for collecting and analyzing public opinion data.
  • Plan research papers for peer-reviewed journals and present findings at academic conferences.
  • Develop and deliver workshops, guest lectures, and mentoring on survey methodology, policy analytics, and statistical methods.
  • Perform additional assignments as needed.
