Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager of Data Analysis to drive data mapping and validation across card data products. The role combines leadership of analytics teams with hands-on analysis, reporting, and collaboration with data product and tech partners.

The ideal candidate has extensive data analytics and leadership experience, and will work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment across multiple concurrent projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field with 7+ years data analytics experience or Master’s with 5+ years analytics experience.
• Experience leading and developing with open source data technologies.
• Experience in data governance and predictive analytics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Refining a new Enterprise-wide analytical tools validation framework.
• Planning and executing validation projects.
• Assessing quality and risk of analytical tool methodologies.
• Understanding technical issues and identifying tool risks and opportunities.
• Researching and prototyping industry best practices for emerging analytical tools.
• Communicating results clearly via reports and presentations.
• Coaching and mentoring junior staff.
