Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer in Charlotte, NC to own architecture and lead end-to-end data, AI, and application delivery for enterprise customers. You will work hands-on with customers, design reference architectures, deploy production systems, and ensure scalable, secure solutions while collaborating with engineering, product, and customer teams.

Travel up to 20% and Databricks Certification required or strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Experience with Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; at least one.

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade data and AI projects by delivering architecture and reference implementations.
• Design and deploy end-to-end data architectures and applications that combine data pipelines, ML/AI models, and user interfaces.
• Collaborate with engagement managers to scope technical delivery work with input from the customer.
