Databricks is seeking a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to work with customers to productionize data and AI solutions on the Databricks platform. You will own the architecture, lead design decisions, and deliver end-to-end systems spanning data engineering, AI, and application development.

This hands-on, customer-facing role emphasizes engineering excellence, cross‑functional collaboration with product and engineering teams, and strong customer empathy to drive measurable outcomes.

Formación

• 6+ years in data engineering, data platforms & analytics, or software engineering.
• Comfortable coding in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript with modern frameworks.
• Cloud expertise in two or more ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP) with deep experience in at least one.
• Deep experience with distributed computing using Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models and AI APIs.
• Design and deployment of performant production end-to-end data architectures integrating data pipelines, ML models, and UIs.
• Experience delivering technical projects, managing scope, timelines, and outcomes.
• Strong documentation and white-boarding skills.
• Experience working with enterprise clients and managing conflicts across stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel 20% of the time.
• Databricks Certification would be a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Production Solution Delivery: Lead customer projects by delivering production-grade systems, designing reference architectures, custom apps, and data ingestion and ML/AI model integration.
• Transformational Impact: Guide strategic customers through end-to-end design, build and deployment of big data and AI applications.
• Empower Customers: Advise on architecture and design; bootstrap or implement projects to ensure adoption of Databricks.
• Own the Architecture: Lead architecture decisions to ensure secure, scalable solutions aligned with customer needs and Databricks best practices.
• Collaborate with Databricks teams to ensure engagement components meet customer requirements.
• Provide feedback to product and support teams to guide rapid issue resolution.
• Customer Immersion: Embed with customer teams to understand challenges and deliver impact from ICs to executives.
• Create accelerators, frameworks, and best practices for scale across accounts.
