Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with customers, owning architecture and delivering end-to-end data, AI, and application solutions on the Databricks platform.

You will lead design decisions, implement production-grade systems, and collaborate across engineering, product, and customer teams to ensure successful outcomes and adoption of Databricks technology.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data platforms or software engineering.
• Comfortable coding in Python, Scala, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Knowledge of two or more cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark.
• Familiarity with CI/CD for production deployments.
• Experience with MLOps and AI model deployment.

Responsibilities

• Lead production-grade solution delivery with reference architectures and data/ML pipelines.
• Guide strategic customers through end-to-end design, build and deployment of big data projects.
• Embed with customer teams to understand challenges and deliver measurable impact.
• Own architecture decisions to ensure secure, scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Collaborate with Databricks engineering, product and support to deliver implementations.
