Job summary

Teladoc Health is seeking a Principal Data & AI Platform Engineer to architect, build, and operationalize AI-augmented capabilities that make our data platform more resilient, observable, scalable, and intelligent.

The role emphasizes DataOps—supporting data pipelines with AI-driven monitoring, failure detection, and data quality. You will lead cross-functional architecture, mentor engineers, and productionize AI within data operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in CS/engineering.
10+ years in data engineering, software engineering, or platform engineering with senior architecture experience.
3+ years applying AI/GenAI or agentic capabilities to data engineering or platform workflows.
Proven experience designing large-scale data processing systems for broad user bases.
Hands-on experience productionizing AI-augmented solutions including monitoring and fault handling.
Strong experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake.

Responsibilities

Architect and implement AI and agentic capabilities to improve data processing platform reliability and scalability.
Build intelligent pipeline failure detection, automated retry, and alerting.
Develop AI-driven data quality monitoring to detect anomalies and guide actions.
Design large-scale DataOps and platform capabilities for enterprise data consumers.
Productionize AI within data engineering operations with evaluation, monitoring, and fallback paths.
Lead architecture reviews and establish reusable patterns for resilient data operations.
Mentor engineers and provide technical reviews across teams.
