Job summary

Teladoc Health, Inc. is seeking a Principal Data & AI Platform Engineer to architect, build, and operationalize AI-augmented capabilities for our data platform.

This role focuses on DataOps, AI-driven monitoring, data quality, and scalable platform capabilities to serve enterprise data consumers. You will set technical direction, lead cross-functional architecture efforts, and mentor engineers while partnering with data, platform, cloud, security, and business teams to drive practical AI-enabled

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years experience across data/software/platform engineering.
• 3+ years hands-on AI/GenAI in data/operational workflows.
• Proven experience architecting large-scale data systems for broad user base.
• Hands-on experience productionizing AI-augmented solutions with monitoring and fallback.
• Strong experience with modern data platforms like Databricks or Snowflake.
• Ability to lead technical design and execution across teams and communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement AI and agentic capabilities to improve data processing systems.
• Develop AI-driven data quality and anomaly monitoring.
• Create intelligent pipeline failure detection and automated recovery.
• Design scalable DataOps and platform capabilities for enterprise data consumers.
• Productionize AI within data engineering operations with evaluation and observability.
• Lead architecture reviews and establish reusable patterns for resilient data operations.
• Contribute hands-on to implementation, troubleshooting, and performance improvements.
• Evaluate modern data and AI technologies for fit and value.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance on complex data platform problems.
